| Pastor Johnny F. Smith was born in Oglethorpe County, Georgia to Mr. & Mrs. John H. Smith. He is the youngest of four brothers. Pastor Smith graduated from the Oglethorpe County High School and currently employed at Pilgrim’s Pride in Athens, GA as a supervisor. He is married to Vanessa (Hull) Smith and they have three children (Toriano, Luntay, Jasmine). Pastor Smith is a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Crawford, GA under the leadership of Pastor M.W. Gresham. He served his home church faithfully in many different positions as the president of the usher board, Pastor’s Aide president, Sunday School Teacher, Bible Study Teacher, Chairman of the Deacon’s Board, and a member of the Gresham male chorus until God called him to preach the Gospel. Pastor Smith’s journey into the higher calling began in October 1999 when he preached his First Initial Sermon. Four months later (February 2000), he was invited to preach to the congregation at the Neal’s Grove Baptist Church, Commerce GA. Two months after this invitation (April 2000), Neal’s Grove Baptist Church elected Rev. Johnny F. Smith as their pastor. God continues to bless Pastor Smith as the Shepard of the Neal’s Grove Baptist Church showing him that a “Church that is Bible Fed will be Spiritually Led” Evangelist Vanessa Smith was born in Oglethorpe County, Georgia to Mr. & Mrs. Otis H. Hull. She graduated from Oglethorpe County High School and Athens Technical College. Evangelist Smith is employed at the Athens Regional Medical Center, Athens, GA Evangelist Smith is a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Stephens, GA (Bishop Calvin Turner, Pastor) where she also served as a Choir Director, Sunday School Teacher, and Bible Study Teacher. She served faithfully until God placed on her heart to be united in worship with her husband. She later joined under watch care at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church serving as the Adult and Youth Choir Director. February 18, 2001, Evangelist Smith preached her First Initial Sermon This very day, Evangelist Smith stands strong as a wife as well as an associate to Pastor Smith in assisting him in the ministry at the Neal’s Grove Baptist Church. She is currently a member of the Mother’s Board, Teaches the women ministry, Bible Study Teacher, Sunday School Teacher, Adult choir director and Youth Choir Director. She continues to tell the world “God is giving us time to get it right” |
